Dear CeCe McDonald supporters, The rumors are true: CeCe is scheduled to be released from prison in January. She will wait and write a public statement about her release after she gets out of prison, because she wants to tell you all in her own words and own time. She would like to spend her first days out in privacy, with people she feels close to. Again, information about her release will be shared when CeCe feels it is the right time to do so. In the meantime, she and her support committee ask everyone to be patient. We are excited to throw her a party, the weekend after her release. As soon as the venue and date are confirmed, we will announce! This party is a chance for everyone who has been supporting CeCe to come out and celebrate her release with her. Many of you are eager to send contributions of money or materials, to aid in her transition home. Keep an eye on the FreeCece Mcdonald Facebook page for specific ‘asks’ in the future. Right now, because of the incredible support of her community here in Minneapolis and around the world, she will be safe, comfortable, and cared for when she rejoins us. Please consider sending a donation to other incarcerated people or abolition movements. (Check out the Rainbow Defense Fund http://rainbowdefensefund.wordpress.com/). Thanks everyone for supporting CeCe, and for supporting her now in the way she most needs: with your patience. ~ CeCe Support Committee

First Appearance: (DC’s New52) Batgirl #1: “Shattered”

Major Story Arcs

Alysia was introduced in the first issue of Batgirl, when Barbara Gordon decides it is time to move out of her father's home. Barbara moves in with Alysia, thanks to a roommate posting on “Greg's List.” Alysia, who is of Singaporean descent, describes herself as somewhat of an activist.
Alysia explains to Barbara that she paints during the day, and works as a bartender at night, although her ambition is to be a professional chef.
Though only knowing Barbara for a very brief amount of time, she shows a very outgoing personality and is almost instantly warmly receptive of her new roommate.
Alysia notices how secretive Barbara is at times, but she doesn’t keep pressing on about it. She tells Barbara that it’s okay, because she knows everyone has their secrets.

Death of the Family

When Alysia returns home one day, she finds Barbara standing over unconscious members of the Joker's gang. Barbara apologizes, saying she hasn't been honest with Alysia, and she should go to the police and tell them there has been a break in; she also tells her that she will never see Barbara again.

Instead of taking Barbara’s advice, Alysia calls James Gordon Jr. He picks her up and takes her to the church where the Joker is trying to force Batgirl to marry him.

Alysia witnesses the action from outside and appears to learn how her boyfriend James truly is.

Soon afterwards, Barbara returns home and shares much of her personal background with Alysia (up to, but not including her identity as Batgirl). It is at this time that Alysia, after having tried several times in the previous months to do so, finally shares that she is transgender with Barbara. Barbara responds with a simple but earnest statement of love and acceptance.

apparently i found a canon trans lady in the battle maison

cute!!

don’t black belt women exist tho

black belts are an all-male trainer class within the game.

OH duh. right. i took this complete out of context. it’s pokemon.

Reasons I love X and Y

This is just a mis-translation you fuck heads

I hate to break your bubble, but no, it’s not. In Japanese, she says

半年前はカラテおうだったのに医学の力ってスゲーよね!

which literally means “To think I was a Black Belt just half a year ago. Modern medicine sure is amazing!”
as an extra bonus, Black Belts are referred to in Japanese as カラテおう, which means “karate king” and is explicitly male.
(extra extra bonus: she is a known thing in the Japanese fandom and there is (somewhat tasteless) fanart of her.)
tl;dr keep your stupid transphobic assumptions to yourself, moron

I love that the Japanese is even MORE clear than the translation.
